This Sunday our Pre-K through 6th grade kids explored spiritual practice. We asked: when your hearts and minds are busy, what can help us to find our calm center?
We started with a Buddhist tale about a young boy named Chunda and his journey to find his inner peace and strength. Through his practice, he was able to demonstrate his own wisdom and help others find theirs.
After our story, we invited the children to explore different spiritual practice
“centers”: yoga, prayer, meditation, and art and asked them to think about how these practices make them feel.
