Stardust, Life & Death

The stars we see are not the same ones that twinkled when dinosaurs walked the Earth.  Our bodies – and everything around us – are made of elements formed when ancient stars exploded and died.  The cosmos is ever-changing universe.  In a very real sense, we are that cosmos, observing itself.

To consider the question, where did we come from, our 7th and 8th graders explored these “Great Story” ideas by watching UU Connie Barlow’s video series called Stardust and Death.  We made our own mini-cosmos, of chalk, paper, and big ideas.

Want a mind stretch?  Watch Barlow’s series yourself at youtube.com/watch?v=95Fy26zv6hU.
