Serving Others

What’s the difference between equity and equality?  Between justice and charity?  How much do parents have to earn to support a family of four?  What causes poverty?  We explored questions like these, then headed out to do some good work on our Urban Immersion service retreat.

Projects including cleaning Meals on Wheels containers, prepping an apartment for a family that is homeless, sanitizing bathrooms and a freezer, and raking 64 bags of leaves for elders.  We also ate multicultural food at Midtown Global Market and enjoyed our time together.

Thank you, parents and youth who took time to be of service to others.  You were so fun and inspiring to be with!
